There are many types of work permits that can legally allow you to work in Canada and gain Canadian work experience.
Family Sponsorship
Sponsor Your Spouse or Common Law Partner
As a permanent resident or Canadian citizen, you could be eligible to sponsor your spouse or common law partner
Sponsor Your Dependent Child
Based on certain eligibility requirements, you could sponsor your child
Sponsor Your Parents or Grandparents
The parents and grandparents sponsorship program could be compared to a lottery, with eligibility requirements based on income and other factors
Citizenship Applications
A Canadian permanent resident has to meet certain eligibility requirements in order to qualify for acquiring Canadian citizenship. One of the requirements is to live in Canada for 1095 days.
Labour Market Impact Assessment
As an employer, if you are having difficulty finding qualified Canadian applicants to fill the labor shortage in your workplace, you could hire a qualified applicant from overseas. One way that the applicant could start working for your company is with the support of a LMIA. A LMIA can then be used to apply for a work permit.
